To find a signature scent it’s important to keep trying fragrances, you need not buy all of them, but whenever you come across a perfume store, you can try 2-3 scents. Spray the one that feels close to your personality and leave the store. Throughout the day see how this perfume makes you feel. If it’s comforting and brings good emotions out of you, that’s a good pick. Note the name somewhere!
Repeat this exercise multiple times and you will know what notes attract you, comfort you and uplift your mood. Next time when you visit the stores, ask for perfumes with these notes. Now you have opened an entire shelf ahead of you with fragrances holding your favourite note. Interesting isn’t it! Control yourself, you have still not reached the destination.
Now once you shortlist a few perfumes, choose the ones that have familiar notes that you like, fit your budget, and come in attractive packaging. Try this perfume on your skin and leave the store.
See how it feels to move around with this fragrance, how it feels in air conditioning, in heat, in restaurants, while having your favourite beverage. If it feels good, do not be tempted to buy the full bottle. Instead order a small decant of this perfume online. Try it, ask your people how it smells on you. Take it to places, create memories with it.
Now if you accept it, love it, then go ahead and buy a full presentation from the store, possibly from where you first met it!
Cherish it, let your presence be felt by it, let the fragrance be known by your personality.
